Privacy Policy
Last updated July 4, 2026
Refactron (“we”, “us”) operates refactron.dev. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Refactron is in early access; if our practices change materially, we will update this page and the date above.
Information you give us
The only thing we ask for is your email address, and optionally your name, when you join the early-access list. We use it to send you a confirmation, occasional product updates, and to reach out about being a design partner. That is all we ask for.
Information we collect automatically
When you use the site, our servers and providers record standard technical data: your IP address, browser and device information, and request timestamps. We use this to serve the site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse of the sign-up form (rate limiting). If something errors, our monitoring tool records diagnostic details about the error; it is configured not to attach personal information.
Your code never leaves your machine
Refactron the product runs its verification locally, against your own test suite, in an isolated copy of your repository. We do not receive, store, or transmit your source code to reach a verdict. This site and this policy concern only the marketing site and the early-access list.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party ad trackers on this site.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run our infrastructure, each acting on our instructions:
- Resend: sends our early-access emails and stores the mailing list.
- Vercel: hosts the website and processes request logs.
- Upstash: stores short-lived counters used for abuse prevention.
- Sentry: records error diagnostics (without personal information).
These providers process data in the United States. We rely on their standard contractual protections for any transfer of data from your region.
How long we keep it
We keep your email on the early-access list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Technical logs are retained only as long as needed for security and are then discarded.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from any email using its link, or by replying and asking. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these, email us at hello@refactron.dev and we will take care of it.
Children
Refactron is a tool for developers and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We will post any changes here and update the date at the top. Material changes to how we use your email will be communicated by email where appropriate.
